We had the amazing opportunity to find out more about Cecilia Phua, Court of the Table member of Million Dollar Round Table. She shares more about what inspired her to become a financial services consultant and how she keeps grounded AND inspired at the same time!
How would people describe you in three words:
Positive, Focused and an Opportunist.
Who has inspired you in your life and why?
Jack Ma. It seems we share the same belief that “opportunities lies in the place where complaints are.”
If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?
Hawk. It can soar high in the sky and has the ability to view all of life from this perspective. It would be amazing to be able to look at the big picture and not get too wrapped up in the petty details of things.
What is a skill you'd like to learn and why?
The skill of being able to multi-task with ease! So that I can oversee the progress of my team; keeping their abilities and weaknesses in mind, while juggling multiple important projects at the same time.
What do you do on your days off?
Spending quality moments catching up with my friends and family.
When did you realise that you wanted to be a financial services consultant?
The moment when I realise that this is a special career that allows me to build my own dreams whilst helping others to realise their financial and life goals.
What was the moment that has left the biggest mark on you?
Achieving Court of the Table qualification within a span of six months in 2016.
From your own experience, define what is it like to be a financial services consultant?
Being able and enabled with a great strategy; allowing me to achieve more than I could ever dream of!
What makes you different from your peers?
I see opportunities in threats.
How do you define success?
When I manage to make a difference in people's lives.

“My future lies in my own hands.”
What is the best thing about being a Court of the Table member?
